Emgold Mining Corporation is a Vancouver-based exploration and mining company focused on the re-development of the former Idaho-Maryland Gold Mine located in Grass Valley, California and the exploration and development of several early stage prospects in British Columbia. Emgold is working to become a gold producer, focusing its efforts primarily on the Idaho-Maryland Property.
- THE IDAHO-MARYLAND GOLD MINE -- Discovered in 1851 in the Mother Lode district of California, the mine produced from 1862 to 1956 and is the second largest underground historical gold producer in California. Total recorded production was 2,383,000 ounces of gold from 5,546,000 short tons for a recovered grade of 0.43 ounces of gold per short ton. The company is conducting surface exploration and extensive data analysis and is aiming to return the mine to active operation.
- ROZAN GOLD PROPERTY -- This prospective gold property is located north of Ymir in southwestern British Columbia adjacent to Sultan Minerals' Kena Property. The company is developing plans for further exploration including diamond drilling.
- STEWART PROPERTY -- Also located north of Ymir in southwestern British Columbia, adjacent to the Kena -- Gold Mountain gold porphyry discovery; this property has shown high gold geochemical samples coincident with a strong I.P. geophysical anomaly. The property is also noted for hosting significant values of Molybdenite and Tungsten.
Emgold has an experienced management team committed to the responsible and economic exploration and development of these projects. The Company trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol EMR and is listed with Standard and Poors.
